Each platform you pick gives you 4 ideas, one for each funnel stage (Awareness / Consideration / Decision / Retention). 1 platform = 4 ideas, 2 = 8, 8 = 32. Each idea is format-ready for its platform, with real monthly search volume from Keywords Everywhere. Regenerate any card to re-roll just that one.

About funnel stages and search-volume numbers
For each platform you pick, you get one idea per funnel stage (Awareness, Consideration, Decision, Retention). The funnel-stage labels are the AI's call on the educational vs comparison vs decision-helping intent of each idea.
Search volume, CPC, and competition come from Keywords Everywhere and reflect historical Google search activity. They're not guarantees of future traffic. Use these signals as a starting point for your content calendar, alongside your sense of what your audience actually needs.

How it works
The Content Idea Generator lays ideas out in a grid. One axis is the platforms you pick: Blog, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, Newsletter, and Pinterest. The other is the 4-stage marketing funnel: Awareness, Consideration, Decision, and Retention. Every platform and stage pair gets exactly one idea. The result is a balanced content plan, not a flat list of 8 random ideas that all skip the bottom of the funnel.
Platform-aware output. Each idea carries a platform_content object. Its main output is shaped for the platform: a blog title, a YouTube title, a LinkedIn hook, or a tweet. It also holds platform extras such as blog outline bullets, YouTube thumbnail text, and Instagram hashtag ideas. The same idea is presented natively for each platform without multiplying the AI token cost by eight.
Two input modes:
- Topic. A seed keyword or short topic. The AI builds the grid from scratch.
- URL. A page the ideas should extend or fill gaps in. We fetch the page through our proxy, read the body, and ask the AI for ideas that build on what is already there. On the Free plan we read up to 2,000 words of the page.
Real Keywords Everywhere data on every idea. After the AI returns, the tool removes duplicate target keywords and runs one batched lookup. Volume, CPC, competition, and the 12-month trend attach to every idea card. The volume pill (High, Medium, Low, or No data) shows at a glance which ideas target real demand.
Three ways to sort the results: Funnel (the default, grouped by stage with tinted section headers), Volume (biggest opportunities first), and Easiest (lowest competition first).
A note on the labels. The funnel-stage label is the AI's judgement of each idea's intent: educational, comparison, decision, or retention. Search volume shows past Google searches, not future traffic. Treat the signals as a starting point for your content calendar, alongside your own sense of what your audience needs.
Plan caps. Each call uses part of your daily AI token budget, and each per-card Regenerate draws from the same budget. On the Free plan that budget is 50,000 tokens a day, shared by every AI tool on this site.
What you will see
- Mode toggle (Topic / URL)
- Switches between building ideas from a seed and extending an existing page.
- Distribution platforms picker
- Checkboxes for the platforms you publish on. Pick at least one. The number of ideas equals platforms times 4 funnel stages.
- Country
- Sets which country's search-volume data attaches to each idea. Global is the combined figure. Pick a country for that market's data.
- Focus keyword
- Optional. Anchors every idea around the target phrase. The live preview shows volume, CPC, and competition for the keyword itself.
- Idea card
- Each card shows a funnel-stage label and a platform label. Below them sit the main platform output (blog title, video title, hook, or tweet) and the extras (outline bullets, hashtags, and so on). The card also shows the Keywords Everywhere volume, CPC, competition, and trend, plus Copy and Regenerate buttons.
- Sort buttons (Funnel / Volume / Easiest)
- Re-sort the stack in place. Funnel, the default, groups by stage with tinted subheaders. Volume puts the highest demand first. Easiest puts the lowest competition first.

Frequently asked questions
How do I generate content ideas with this tool?
Pick a mode (Topic or URL) and enter your topic, niche, or seed keyword. You can also pick an audience and country and add a focus keyword. Check at least one platform: Blog, YouTube, LinkedIn, X / Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Newsletter, or Pinterest. Pick a tone and click Generate ideas. You get exactly 4 ideas per platform, one for each funnel stage: Awareness, Consideration, Decision, and Retention. So 1 platform gives 4 ideas, 2 platforms give 8, and 8 platforms give 32. Each idea is shaped for its platform and carries real Keywords Everywhere search volume.
How does the funnel-stage matrix work?
The AI writes exactly one idea for every platform and funnel stage pair. Pick LinkedIn and YouTube with the 4 stages and you get 8 ideas: a LinkedIn idea for each of Awareness, Consideration, Decision, and Retention, and the same 4 for YouTube. The grid guarantees full coverage. You cannot end up with 4 Awareness ideas across both platforms and nothing for Retention, which is what happens when you brainstorm without a framework.
What is the 5-5-5 rule for social media?
It is a common content-mix rule of thumb. Post 5 times about your own product, service, or content. Share 5 relevant posts from other people. And make 5 posts that talk directly with your community through replies, conversations, and questions. This tool helps with the first 5, your own content ideas shaped for each platform. The other 10 are still up to you, and the rule only works if all three kinds show up. On TikTok and Instagram, where the algorithm rewards engagement over reach, the sharing and engagement posts matter at least as much.
What is the 70/20/10 rule in content?
It is a way to split content effort: 70 percent on proven formats and topics, 20 percent on new twists on what already works, and 10 percent on experiments that may not pay off. For idea generation, the AI tends to propose ideas in the 70 and 20 buckets, the well-established patterns it learned from its training data. The experimental 10 percent usually needs a person. The AI does not know what has never been tried in your niche. Use this tool for the 70 and 20, and set aside separate time for the 10.
What is the 3-3-3 rule in marketing?
A simple posting rule for new brands: publish 3 times a week, for 3 months, on 3 platforms before judging whether the plan works. Less than 3 months of steady output is not enough data to draw conclusions. This tool covers the 3-platform side. Pick exactly 3 platforms, run one submission, and you get 12 ideas (3 platforms times 4 funnel stages), about two weeks of content planned in one click.
What are some good content ideas for a blog?
The ones that meet real audience demand and fit what you know well. For demand, generate ideas here, sort by Volume to see the biggest opportunities, and keep the ones you can write with authority. For format, How-to and Listicle posts bring evergreen traffic, Comparison posts bring affiliate revenue, and Case Study and Tutorial posts build B2B authority. Pick Blog as your platform and the ideas come back shaped for long-form posts, usually 1,500 to 3,000 words, rather than short social posts.
How does the tool format ideas per platform?
Each idea carries a platform_content object. Its primary field is the main output for that platform: a blog title for Blog, a video title for YouTube, a hook for LinkedIn, a tweet for X. Its extras array holds platform-specific additions such as blog outline bullets, YouTube thumbnail text, and Instagram hashtags. The same idea is presented natively for each platform without multiplying the AI token cost by eight.
How many ideas can I generate per day?
You get 4 ideas per platform you pick, so 1 platform gives 4 and 8 platforms give 32. Each call uses part of your daily AI token budget. On the Free plan that budget is 50,000 tokens a day, shared by every AI tool on this site. Each per-card Regenerate draws from the same budget. In practice the Free plan allows several submissions a day before you hit the cap.
