How it works

Describe what the video covers, plus any links, calls to action, or timestamps to include, and you get two complete descriptions. Each opens with one or two hook lines that work above the "Show more" fold. A fuller paragraph follows, working your keywords in naturally, since descriptions feed YouTube search. Then come your links as [Link] placeholders, and a few relevant hashtags to close.

Frequently asked questions

What should a YouTube description include?

Three layers. One or two hook lines visible above the fold, which also show in search. A paragraph explaining what the video covers, with your keywords used naturally. Then your resources: links, timestamps, socials, and affiliate disclosures. The generator builds that structure and marks where your links go.

Do descriptions affect YouTube SEO?

Yes. YouTube reads descriptions to understand and rank videos in search and suggestions. Natural keyword coverage in the first paragraph helps. Keyword stuffing does not, and can hurt. The lines visible above the fold also affect click-through from search.

How long should the description be?

YouTube allows 5,000 characters. For most videos, 150 to 300 words is a healthy middle: enough substance for search, short enough to maintain. The two generated variants give you a fuller and a leaner take to choose between.

Why placeholders instead of real links?

The AI never sees your real URLs. Instead of inventing any, it drops a clearly marked [Link] where each belongs. Paste your real links in. That is safer than a generator that makes up URLs.

Should I add timestamps (chapters)?

For anything tutorial-shaped, yes. Chapters improve retention and can appear in Google results. Mention your sections in the context box and the description will lay out a timestamp block for you to fill in.

What goes in the first two lines?

The promise of the video and the main keyword, because those lines show before "Show more" and in search results. Skip greetings and channel intros there. The generator writes the hook lines to do this job.

Can I use the same description on every video?

Keep a shared footer, such as your socials, gear list, and disclosures, but write the top layers fresh for each video. Identical descriptions across videos give YouTube nothing to tell them apart with. Generate the video-specific part here and paste your standard footer under it.

Is it free?
