How it works

The Website Ranking Checker looks your target up in our Keywords Everywhere ranking index. It returns every keyword the target ranks for in Google's organic results for the country you choose. Each row shows the current position and the estimated monthly traffic that keyword sends to your page.

Single mode checks one domain or URL right away and returns up to your plan's per-target keyword cap. Bulk mode queues up to 10 targets and processes them in the background, so you can keep working while the job runs.

Auto-detection. If you leave the type set to Auto, anything starting with http:// or https:// is treated as a URL. Everything else is treated as a domain. You can override the guess with the dropdown.

Optional search-volume data. The base ranking data (keyword, position and estimated traffic) is free. Search volume, CPC, competition and the 12-month trend per keyword come from an upstream that charges credits. So they sit hidden behind a Get Search Volume Data button on the results table. Paid plans see a confirm box that quotes the credit cost first and pay with their own credits. Free and anonymous visitors are sent to an upgrade page.

Plan caps. Your plan caps how many keywords we return per target. On the Free plan that is 500 keywords per target. Your daily quota of 50 keywords is shared with the Keyword Gap Analysis tool.

Known limitations.

  • Index lag. Our index refreshes regularly but not in real time. Very fresh ranking changes and extremely long-tail keywords may not appear until the next refresh.
  • One URL per keyword. When you check a domain, we return one ranking URL per keyword: the best-ranking page on that domain. The URL column shows which page it is.
  • Traffic is an estimate. We multiply search volume by the expected click-through rate for the position. It is not real analytics data.

What the columns mean

Keyword
A search query for which your target ranks somewhere in Google's organic results. Click the row to open this keyword in another of our tools (Backlink Checker, Website Traffic Checker, Top Pages Finder).
Position
The current rank in Google's organic results for the keyword, in the country you selected. Positions 1 to 3 are the top of page 1, 4 to 10 the rest of page 1, and 11 to 20 page 2. Anything past 30 brings little traffic.
Traffic
Estimated monthly organic visits Google sends to your page from this keyword. It is search volume times the expected click-through rate at the current position. An estimate, not measured analytics.
Search Volume (after adding volume data)
Google's average monthly searches for the keyword in the country you selected, from Google Keyword Planner via the Keywords Everywhere API. Empty until you click Get Search Volume Data.
CPC (after adding volume data)
The cost per click advertisers pay in Google Ads, in your account's currency. A sign of buying intent: high-CPC keywords tend to convert.
Competition (after adding volume data)
Google's 0 to 1 score for how many advertisers bid on the keyword. Higher means more advertisers. A useful proxy for buying intent and ranking difficulty, though not a direct difficulty score.
12-Month Trend (after adding volume data)
A small chart of monthly search volume over the past 12 months. Click it for a larger chart. Useful for spotting seasonal keywords or topics in decline.
Domains/URLs (bulk mode only)
Which of your inputs the row came from. Useful when you filter or sort a large bulk result.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check Google rankings for my domain or URL?

Enter your domain, such as example.com, or a specific URL, such as https://example.com/post, in the box above. Pick a country and click Find Keywords. We return every keyword in our index that the target ranks for in Google's organic results for that country. Each row shows the current position and the estimated monthly traffic that keyword sends to the page. Bulk mode checks up to 10 targets in one submission.

What does "organic ranking" mean?

Organic rankings are the unpaid results in Google search. They appear below any ads, ordered by Google's ranking system on relevance, authority and quality. A keyword "ranks" for your URL when Google places that URL somewhere in the organic listings for it. Position 1 is the top organic result. Positions 11 to 20 are the second page.

Why don't I see search volume and CPC on every row?

Because those columns cost credits. The base ranking data is free. Search volume, CPC, competition and the 12-month trend come from an upstream that charges per keyword. So those four columns start empty, and you add them with the Get Search Volume Data button on the results table. Paid plans see a confirm box that quotes the credit cost first. Free and anonymous visitors see an upgrade offer.

How is the estimated traffic per keyword calculated?

Monthly search volume times the expected click-through rate (CTR) for the position your URL holds. CTR falls fast as position drops. Position 1 usually gets 25 to 35 percent of clicks, position 5 about 5 percent, and anything past position 10 under 1 percent. The Traffic column is a best-effort estimate, not real analytics data.

How accurate are website ranking checkers?

Every ranking checker, ours included, reads from an index crawled at some point in the past, not a live Google search at the moment you click. Our index refreshes regularly. Even so, very fresh ranking changes and extremely long-tail keywords may not appear until the next refresh. For a live look at one keyword's results page, use our SERP Checker. Treat ranking-checker data as a strong sample, not a real-time mirror.

How do I find the keyword position of my page?

Enter the page URL, not the domain, in single mode. Pick the country you care about and submit. We return every keyword that page ranks for, sorted by position. Each row shows the keyword, its current position in Google's organic results, the URL on your site that ranks (one per keyword), and the estimated monthly traffic. Click any column header to sort by it.

What's the difference between checking a domain and checking a URL?

A domain check, such as example.com, returns every ranking keyword across every page on that host. A URL check, such as https://example.com/blog/post, limits the results to that one page. Use domain mode for the overall picture. Use URL mode when you want to know exactly which keywords send traffic to one piece of content, for example before a content refresh or an internal-linking pass.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Yes, the base ranking data is free and needs no signup. Free and anonymous visitors share a daily budget of ranking keywords. Paid Keywords Everywhere plans get larger daily budgets and deeper per-target caps, up to 10,000 keywords per target. They pay only their own credits for the optional search-volume data. The base lookup is free on every plan.
